Javelin

The Eryndor Javelin is designed as a short, hefty javelin (weighs on average 21 ounces) that is an excellent mid-range projectile (general concensus is its most effective kill range is 10 - 30 feet) that also doubles as an excellent short spear. The wide striking head (4.5" diameter) combined with a stiff Schedule 40 PVC core (as opposed to the thin and wobbly fiberglass rods used in many other javelin designs) makes the Eryndor javelin a weapon that can be used for thrusts effectively and hits firmly and safely when thrown.

The striking head has 4 inches of open cell padding, and 1.5 inches of closed cell padding.

The shaft is padded and covered in quality colored duct tape, minimizing tears and rips in the haft padding that tend to occur more frequently with javelin shafts that are wrapped in athletic tape.

*UPDATE* - Mnay of our Eryndor javelins have passed WITHOUT REPAIR (not including a few band-aids on the haft padding) through Ragnarok XX, a year's worth of fighting, and Ragnarok XXI. These "Fugly Sticks" have a proven track record of being excellent to throw while remaining safe through long-term use!
